The short answer

Open a finished meeting in Oak, select Generate Deck, choose a design and download the PowerPoint. You can then edit the presentation in PowerPoint or Google Slides and shape it for your audience.

Generate Deck launched on 2 October 2026. The discussion you have just had can now become the starting point for your next presentation.

Whether you are updating a manager, briefing colleagues or preparing a project recap, start with the meeting content already in Oak. Choose a look, download the deck and make it your own.

What does Generate Deck create?

Generate Deck turns your meeting content into a PowerPoint presentation you can download and edit. It gives you a starting point for presenting the discussion, so you can focus on what your audience needs to know.

A conversation and a presentation have different jobs. During a meeting, people explore ideas, ask questions and work through details. Afterwards, your audience may need a clear update on the outcome. Work from the generated deck, adjust the emphasis and add the context that makes the discussion useful to them.

For a colleague who missed the call, that might mean a project recap. For a manager, it might mean the background to a decision. Choose the purpose of your presentation first, then shape the deck around it.

How do you prepare the meeting?

Start with a recording in Oak and let it finish processing. You can use a supported online call, live recording in the browser or an uploaded recording.

For online meetings, Oak Bot supports Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The live meeting guide explains that capture route. If you already have a recording, upload it to Oak instead.

Oak supports Cantonese-English transcription, preserving the language mix in the transcript. When you need to revisit a name, business term or important point, use the transcript and playback to return to the conversation. The meeting-summary guide covers the related notes workflow.

How do you generate and download the deck?

Select Generate Deck on the finished meeting, choose your design and download the PowerPoint. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the finished meeting. Choose the conversation you want to present.
  2. Select Generate Deck. Start the presentation workflow from that meeting.
  3. Choose a design. Pick Duo, Blue, Vivid, Mono or Soft.
  4. Download and open the PowerPoint. Use PowerPoint or Google Slides to edit the presentation.

Think of the design as the visual starting point. Your final edits give the presentation its purpose: what you want the reader to understand, discuss or do next.

Which of the five designs should you choose?

Choose a style that fits the occasion and the rest of your presentation material.

DesignVisual style
DuoSand and ink, with lime accents
BlueProfessional blue treatment
VividCoral, violet and amber
MonoBlack and white
SoftWarm cream and rounded elements

For an external presentation, consider how the design sits alongside your organisation’s material. For an internal update, choose a look that keeps the discussion easy to follow. Once you have downloaded the deck, you can make your final changes in your presentation app.

How do you make the presentation your own?

Edit the deck for the people who will read or hear it. Give them the context they need and make the main message easy to find.

Before sharing, work through three things:

  • The message: bring the points that matter to your audience forward, and add any background they need.
  • The details: confirm names, figures, dates and commitments against the meeting. Oak’s playback and transcript let you revisit the source; Ask AI can help you find a point from that meeting with citations.
  • The delivery: adjust the slide order and wording, check readability and remove information that should stay within the original group.

The conversation supplies the material. You bring the audience and the purpose.
